Albert Einstein said "Insanity (is) doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
This is true with dieting. You start off at your current weight and set yourself a goal to lose a certain amount of weight, however, if you keep doing what you used to do, living the way you always did, it is unlikely that you would lose any weight and more likely that you revert back to your normal lifestyle. If you are fortunate enough to have lost more weight, it would be a short time before your original 'extra' weight would be 'driven back' into you by way of food intake.
